Our marketing in practice webinar series returns on 25 August at 12.30pm (BST) and this month we welcome Gemma Robinson from Type The Hype as our guest presenter. Gemma will introduce influencer marketing and discuss how this developing channel can be used to support and grow other marketing channels.
With consumers trusting peer recommendations and reviews more than any type of advertising, influencer marketing is becoming an increasingly important tactic for marketers. We can loosely define it as the development of relationships with individuals who have an influence over potential buyers and then working with such influencers to gain visibility of the brand through content such as articles or vlogs. Influencer marketing may not a new concept; however, the celebrity endorsers of the past are making way for a new wave of ‘ordinary’ consumers. Such consumers have been able to amplify their voice through social media, gaining significant reach and impact in the process.
During this insightful webinar, Gemma will provide an introduction to influencer marketing and how such techniques can work with other marketing channels such as email, social and search to assist in the different stages of the sales funnel. You’ll gain valuable insight into how influencer marketing works in practice as well as practical advice on running your own activity.
Gemma Robinson is Relationship Director at Type The Hype, a network for bloggers and brands. She has over 10 years’ experience in content-driven ecommerce, working with both brands and bloggers in a variety of sectors including beauty and fashion.
