Following the recent collaboration with the University of California, Irvine Extension (UCI) to endorse and represent the University’s Digital Marketing and Social Media Certificates, the Digital Marketing Association (DMA) is excited to announce the Certified Digital Marketer (CDM) Program.
The initiative focuses on ensuring that digital marketers entering the industry have the knowledge and skill set to lead successful campaigns and achieve their digital marketing goals.
The Program involves a verification process that results in successful applicants receiving entry into the Association’s Certified Member grade. All Certified Digital Marketers will be listed in the Members Directory as Certified Digital Marketers.
The Digital Marketing Association will be certifying Digital Marketers that successfully complete a Postgraduate Digital Marketing Certificate. Students may qualify through completion of the University of California, Irvine Extension Postgraduate Certificate program in Digital Marketing.
‘Empowering Digital Marketers with this Certified Program means that they can now tell employers ‘I know how to do the job, I have the skills and I know the tools to use to push your digital marketing plans forward!’ Reassuring businesses that the person they are employing can achieve results!’ said Kristian Vitsø, Communication Director at DMA, and System Developer at WIS.
“In the Certified Digital Marketer credential, the DMA has established a global standard for digital marketing practice,” said Tom Pokladowski, director of law, finance and business programs at UCI. “By awarding this credential, the DMA recognizes the tremendous value of UC Irvine Extension’s rigorous Internet Marketing curriculum.”
