Oxford College of Marketing – thank you for telling us how happy you are!

October 20th, 2011 No comments

Thank you for your note below. I have been meaning to email you since receiving confirmation of my grade but things have been a bit hectic this week!
It is a relief to have passed and I wasn’t expecting an “A” at all so it has come as a nice surprise and a great way to complete the qualification. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you and the team at OCOM for making the transition from my previous study centre so easy. I think the whole service OCOM provides is excellent from start to finish.
Particularly, the resources you provide through our E-Learning System are absolutely fantastic – I felt as if I could really focus on the assignment question as I had access to all the study materials and links to extra references to hand. Also, the initial webinar on how to address the assignment is invaluable so any worries about distance learning were soon quashed. The customer service provided by OCOM is outstanding, whenever I had any queries it was easy to contact the relevant person at the college or they always pointed me in the right direction of who to speak to in a timely manner. I was left with the impression that the college really does care about its students and does its utmost to help them throughout the entire study process. (I would be happy to provide a testimonial if required- however please do let me know which of my comments you intend on using prior to publishing them)
With regards to further study, I would have absolutely no hesitation in using OCOM again. At the moment I think I am going to take at least a 6 month break from any more studying, although the digital diploma is very tempting since I am half way there already! Realistically, I think the study break will be a good thing as it will provide the opportunity for me to assess where my career is heading and if the digital diploma or postgrad course is the most appropriate way forward.
I have mentioned that I have passed to my boss but I think an independent email from the college would be absolutely great to reinforce the hard work and achievement (particularly as it would coincide with my appraisal which is due next week!).

Email Marketing

2hours 25 minutes video http://www.oxlearn.com/topic_Email-Marketing_18_32#topo

Compared to just about every other form of digital marketing, Email is still the most cost effective. It can form the bedrock of your communications strategy and ‘join the dots’ between your other online activities. It is quick, easy to implement, inexpensive and reliable. The challenge, however, is standing out in an increasingly noisy marketplace. Your customers are drowning in too many email messages. This means it’s harder than ever to reach them and grab their attention. This Email Marketing training course is designed to help you improve. Potential marketers interested in pursuing or advancing a career in marketing by studying for CIM qualifications, should consider the Graduate Foundation Programme
In September 2009 the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) introduced a NEW syllabus for the Professional Diploma and Professional Postgraduate Diploma. Along with the new syllabus came changes to the academic requirements for entry. This meant that graduates without a degree in marketing could be put on the lower level courses, depending on the college they join.

For those interested in pursuing or advancing a career in marketing by studying for CIM qualifications, should consider the Graduate Foundation Programme from Oxford College of Marketing (OXCOM).

CIM and CAM exam results

Exam results time always provides an opportunity for jubilation and also alas, for disappointment. Congratulations to all those who passed, and commiserations to the few who failed. I am really sorry we have let you down.

If we have not contacted you in the next few days please contact me rosie@oxfordcollegeofmarketing.ac.uk.

Compare our results with the CIM averages

It is always useful to compare ones results to the CIM averages – in fact we leap on these as soon as they come in – and many discussion then follow on how we can improve and how we can help make things easier for students next time round.

These gave Oxford College of Marketing an 87% pass rate – 20% above the CIM average of 67.67% . Additionally, 50% of our grades were AB – so thank you to all of you who have worked so hard to achieve this.
