The Oxford College of Marketing are pleased to announce they now offer the new Digital Essentials module, which is a new elective unit for the CIM Foundation Certificate in Marketing. The module, which was launched by the CIM in March this year, provides students with a choice of elective module for the level three qualification; however, it can be studied as a self-contained award too.
What does the new Digital Essentials elective include?
The new Digital Essentials unit was designed to provide budding marketers with an introduction to some of the core aspects of digital marketing. Some of the key themes include:
- What is digital marketing?
- Key digital communication tools and their application
- How to develop digital marketing content
- Developing digital marketing campaigns
- Measuring and monitoring digital marketing activities
Who is it for?
The Digital Essentials module is perfect for anyone who wants to find out more about digital marketing and to kick start their digital marketing career. It is also useful for anyone currently in a marketing role but wishes to learn about digital marketing best practice. It is not necessary to have any previous experience or knowledge of marketing to undertake this course.
The individual award can be completed within 3 – 4 months, while the full CIM Foundation Certificate in Marketing qualification can be completed within just 6 months.
What the experts say
Digital practitioner and Oxford College of Marketing course leader, Red Barrington, says “Digital Essentials provides a great introduction to digital marketing for students. It covers relevant and current topics that are really impacting on today’s marketer.”
